is the title of a track on the new-ish Celine Dion album and i'm becoming obsessed with it without having heard it. it's got a COMMA and PARENTHESES !!!!! = greatest song title ever!

First an ironic AC/DC cover, now this? I fear Ms. Dion is becoming dare I say "indie"!

look at these lyrics http://www.lyricsstyle.com/c/celinedion/raintax.html

LOOK AT ALL THE PARENTHESES IN THE LYRICS!

this is my favorite line:

(Please grow up through the previous _)

that is not my punctation!

it's such classic Francophone-grappling-with-English-grammar... like Marathe in Infinite Jest! "larger seafood to cook" etc.

(Like Rain)
Rain
(Tax)
Tax
(Please grow up through the previous _)
It's inevitable
(Do you see what I want)
(What I want is you)

no wait, it's a Joan Of Arc song!

I'm off to write an indieglitchathon called "Please Grow Up Through The Previous Underscore" right now.

(Well, I would be, if I were capable of writing anything worthy of such a title.)

Even without the comma and parantheses that title is RUB! I'm just surprised Alanis didn't get to it first.

Parantheses in titles = unnatural and wrong.
