i used to record these (from all vinyl of course, i ain't no punk) onto minidisc, encode them into real audio, then post them on my angelfire site in the early 2000s. my schedule was nonexistent, but probably averaged out to a new show every couple weeks for at least two years straight. these are the only tracklists i could find on the wayback machine. keep in mind, i am esentially the same person now and i always go for those deeper cuts. so when you see "space oddity" in there, it was the redo version from the late 70s. "black satin" was the live at carnegie hall recording. i have no explanation and i will not apologize. even got the timestamps in there!

i guess the "vibe" was that of a guy who really liked songs that had sampled bits in them, funky jazz, and random fucking intrusions of captain beefheart or whatever because yeah, okay. lol.
anyway, i was going to make a playlist but some of this stuff isn't even on streaming! i might still do one and then youtube the strays here; probably serves the chaotic nature of the show to consume it that way as well (needing to switch between formats just to get to the next song; ahh what a nice metaphor for life, as it were). yes, all of the shows were like this— shame i couldn't find the ones where andy started getting into new wave and it would go like cannonball adderley "mercy mercy mercy" into the cure "secrets" or something similar. i have to say: these were early ones and so are fairly mild by comparison to how it became. i recall getting a disgruntled email from a mystery person telling me that "enough was enough" and that if i couldn't "just pick a format and stick with it, i'd never make it." damn, good call bro. i was just stoked somebody was listening.
short poll, ending on 1 april feels appropriate. i'm trying to reclaim the day anyway. let's celebrate incidental foolishness. it's okay to be a goof. it's harmless. it's fun.
