The thread where we discuss rare YouTube covers

Because there are lots of YouTube covers, but this thread is for songs which have few if any YouTube covers but are quite good considering, maybe even songs that have no YouTube cover but someone ought to break out an ukulele and camera and just do it already

I like this thread idea a lot but my early digs to find covers of Verlaines songs other than "Death & the Maiden" or Go Betweens songs that aren't "Cattle & Cane" have not been encouraging

I posted a few weeks ago about how Stuart Murdoch had forgotten how to play "Come On Sister" so he searched youtube for a cover and found not just the only cover which helped him remember but also commended it as an impeccable performance.

Wow beefheart covers are fascinating. I haven’t listened to this album since i was 17 and maybe it’s these videos, maybe it’s having an extra decade of musical literacy, but this stuff rocks. Keen to give Trout Mask another listen
