Apparently I Own This: 50 Albums from my Music Collection that I Haven't Really Listened to

In the spirit of doing something different, here's 50 albums from my physical music collection that I've not really listened to. A lot of these are thrift store finds. Some I obtained from my parents. Some were purchased on cassette from a garage sale from ten years ago. Some are just recent purchases that I haven't gotten around to giving a proper listen.

Voted Monkees because 'Headquarters' has my fave track by them ("You Just May Be The One").

CAN

It's a great one, as good as their albums

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Tuesday, 22 August 2023 19:47 (two years ago)

I like that Love Unlimited one a lot, and the Deep Purple I assume is their third LP which is excellent

I’d buy off you a couple of this.

CAN is the only one in here I also own.

I got Headquarters as a birthday gift when I was 8, the first album I owned.

Indiscreet is my favorite Sparks album and one of my favorite albums of all time.

I have that Bootsauce too for some unknown reason. I must have played it once, but I have no recollection.

The Can Soundtracks is the SACD Hybrid release from 2004. It's one of the more recent purchases that I picked it up for $1 at a local city rummage sale about a month ago, along with the Radioactive Man Fabric 08, Pure Moods, and a jewel case of Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream that I foolishly did not check to see if there was actually a CD inside.

Headquarters is so all-time that I've listened to the Rhino complete sessions box set more than once

Prop Dramedy (Old Lunch), Tuesday, 22 August 2023 23:25 (two years ago)

i know jamiroquai is kind of a joke, funny hats and all that, but travelling without moving has some bops, pretty solid

had to vote for pure moods though

I dunno who that was even supposed to be for, massage therapists? your mom? but kind of revolutionary, even if it was an accident

Number of albums heard: 7 or 8 (I don't know if that Barry White compilation is the one I've heard)

Favourite: Can, but Sparks is also worthy

Least-favourite: Megadeth

Nicest surprise: Deep Purple

Unheard, but most want to hear: I thought I had heard Red Octopus but apparently not?

_Eternal Nightcap_. "She was one in a million, yeah, so there's five more just in New South Wales" is an all-time lyric.

So many tracks you can sing along to after the second or third listen.

"Bare feet like a tomboy and a crooked smile."
