Goldie’s Timeless is a deep cut!

Clientless (Scooter's Version) (morrisp), Wednesday, 23 August 2023 14:11 (one year ago)

Nearly God

Happy to see Blonde Redhead and Ween.

✖✖✖ (Moka), Wednesday, 23 August 2023 14:12 (one year ago)

English Settlement would be my XTC pick too, rather than Skylarking. I played ES to death.

Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable POST (Dan Peterson), Wednesday, 23 August 2023 14:26 (one year ago)

Wow, maybe my least favorite Grizzly Bear and Dirty Projectors albums. ;)

(Painted Ruins is super underrated btw, and would definitely go on the 'albums I listen to most with my wife on weekend mornings' poll that I won't burden ILM with)

Random Restaurateur (Jordan), Wednesday, 23 August 2023 15:19 (one year ago)

whigs

The Apartments sounds like a New Wave band. I assume they are?

Nice list. I love the ones I've heard. I'm going for Goldie

Saxophone Of Futility (Michael B), Thursday, 24 August 2023 00:03 (one year ago)

Big Star 2fer just over the Velvets S/T, if it has just been one of the BS albums I woulda voted Velvets, but that Ryko CD is a thing of absolute beauty and as scott seward has noted previously on this board it has fantastic sound as well

there was a revive abt New Morning recently, I really need to listen to that again soon

Glad to see the Sundays, but I couldn't not vote for Eric Dolphy. Fun list.

Moniker? I barely know 'er! (SlimAndSlam), Thursday, 24 August 2023 01:36 (one year ago)

Number of albums heard: 13

Favourite: picking Big Star 2-on-1 feels like cheating, so Katy Lied over Talk Talk

Least-favourite: don't like the first Ornette album

Nicest surprise: His Name is Alive

Unheard, but most want to hear: Sundays or Arthur Russell

Assuming the Band don't count, what album by a Toronto act would you rank the highest? For me: Metro Music by Martha and the Muffins.

xxxpost New Morning revive got it playing in my head yet again, voted for it.

English Settlement, assuming the original 2LP version and not the re-edited single album.

A better Q would be which among the dozens of albums Craig D has made/worked on does he rank the highest... I've listened to Glissandro 70 and Heretictactician in the past month alone

And I'm gonna listen to Shimmer Shimmer Ya and Riff Ref today
