I tried to eliminate albums on other polls. There's so much great stuff still left. I did include a couple of comps -- hey, it's my poll and I can comp if I want to :)

Paralyzed at the thought of choosing between "The Wild, the Innocent and the E. Street Shuffle" and "You and Your Sister."

I've been suppressing the temptation to compile one of these myself so this is a handy opportunity to give Suburban Light some love via a vote instead lol. No, wait, maybe Crazy Rhythms, aaargh.

I was going to be sad if Suburban Light didn't get at least one vote. Maybe Nag!x3 will give it another.

I’m already bored of voting Dots and Loops but it has been the strongest contender on the polls that I’ve seen it in. I can’t help it.

Freakwater!

Torn between Time the Revelator and Pirates. I’ll probably vote for the latter because it can move me to tears.

I like how you want about this so in that spirit, Candy-O.

Oh I haven’t listened to Reckless Burning for ages, I should do that.

Number of albums heard: 12

Favourite: rather than choosing two dBs albums, Terminal Tower

Least-favourite: John Prine (though I love "Six O'clock News")

Nicest surprise: Gillian Welch

Unheard, but most want to hear: Pirates or The Belle Album

xpost, halfway, there's a great thread on Pirates should you wish explore it: Rickie Lee Jones: Pirates
Intrigued that you like Gillian Welch but not John Prine.

I was all primed and ready to vote for the Ting Tings (unironically, I love that record)

I find a majority of John Prine's records are too sentimental or too cutesy for me, my favourite is Common Sense. I've only heard Time the Revelator of Welch's work, but I like it for its willingness to explore loss and bereavement while staying clearheaded in the midst of the gloom.
