These have gravitated to this location and are there either because they get played, or I've forgotten they were there, or something between the two.

So, you came over and are perusing one to take out and play?

Fairport Convention

The Triumphant Return of Bernard & Stubbs (Raymond Cummings), Thursday, 24 August 2023 12:43 (two years ago)

Many possibilities but going with what I’d put on right now it’s Lee Perry.

La Dusseldorf : found this on cd a few weeks back and yeah, its ticks a lot of my boxes.
Love it.

There was a cd release with the 3 Los by Me Dusseldorf together. It's the way I have them. Think about 10 years ago.

Stevo, Thursday, 24 August 2023 15:46 (two years ago)

Lps by La Dusseldorf if autocorrect ain't messing.

Stevo, Thursday, 24 August 2023 15:47 (two years ago)

There were two that were all-time bargs at local oxfams, the La Duss is on Decca for £15, and the Feelies was £2

out-of-print LaserDisc edition (sleeve), Thursday, 24 August 2023 20:30 (two years ago)

One of the first tracks I d/l of "krautrock" after getting Julian copes book was "mama duul" etc, amazed to find this album and it all sounds like that! Plus, they look like they're enjoying being Amon Düül 1 on the cover!

Mark G, Thursday, 24 August 2023 21:40 (two years ago)

Number of albums heard: 17

Favourite: A Saucerful of Secrets

Least-favourite: Time's Up (though I'm a Devoto fan)

Nicest surprise: Oar

Unheard, but most want to hear: Amon Düül

I THINK i voted for Roast Fish & Collie Weed, but maybe it was UNhalfbricking. This is a really solid list. Not a huge Scott Walker fan but I suppose his voting bloc is not to be underestimated.

If a Scott albums going to win, glad it’s this one. Good results!

H.P, Thursday, 31 August 2023 00:30 (one year ago)

Good range of votes plus a definite winner, cheers!

I did reduce each artist to one album each, and xxed Loveless, because c'mon.

Mark G, Thursday, 31 August 2023 01:19 (one year ago)

That Alain Renaud record remains underrated! It sounds a lot like prime-era Heldon, and i think it's still affordable......

ian, Thursday, 31 August 2023 01:23 (one year ago)

I heard "back and in" on John Peel in 1974 or thereabouts, I was playing with a cassette recorder and whoa that's a long track. Anyway, I thought it was "Elaine Renault" from what JP announced. Many years later the internet was invented, and I found one.
