Lumidee into Wayne Wonder always very close to my heart

"Take Me Away" was a request from the person who asked me and was a delight for them.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by far got the best reaction, "Gyspy Woman" a surprisingly close second.

"Coma Cat" cleared the dancefloor, I knew it wouldn't get the biggest reaction but I genuinely thought it was a bit more popular and known than it clearly is.

"Gypsy Woman" is still massive and would definitely make my hypothetical top 10 off this list

These tunes are very much in my ball park, and I've played about half of them out in the last 18 months or so. Voting-wise, I was going to limit myself to the tunes that I haven't played out, but instead of trying to choose between Lumidee and Wayne Wonder, I've broken my own rule and gone for the Motiv8 remix of Common People, as it best fulfils your "which would have had you running to the dancefloor?" brief.

Fastlove closely followed by Buffalo Stance, 1 Thing, There's Nothing I Won't Do and about 30 others.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" when I played it went down INCREDIBLY well - like, I don't think I've ever seen people burst out singing a hook spontaneously like that in my life, and it was quite a buzz to be there for it. I think it might be my favourite now after seeing it in action and immediately realising it will always be a nice memory, although I'll be hesitant to play it again because it will feel like a lazy victory.

"Shout To The Top (Hi-Fi Sean Remix)" has never let me down at an afterparty with my close pals but on both this night and when I tried it again last week it just didn't land. It's top-tier for me but I guess outside of a half-dozen people it isn't the burst of joy and delight I think it is.

"Right Here/Human Nature" is probably my favourite in terms of just pure content outside of context and memories and associations - music doesn't exist in a vacuum but I love that's so romantic and sweet and warm without being too sickly, it's just lovely isn't it.
