This is finally coming to an end. This was first delayed because of listomania. Then I had to deal with death so it has been awhile for me and this board, I did come back a few days earlier just not on ILM.

As much as I love New Order, this one comes down to a coin flip between Talking Heads and The Human League. I'm leaning toward the latter for sentimental reasons.

and as much as I love many Specials songs, that one is just totally, massively, generationally great. imo

But jesus, when I saw New Order and Pet Shop Boys at the Bowl last year, Paul Oakenfold was DJing between sets. He played "Don't You Want Me," and everyone--I mean everyone--sang along to every word.

"Don't You Want Me", narrowly over "Once in a Lifetime" (despite over-exposure). "How Soon is Now" probably my least favorite. Always baffling to me when that is considered a top Smiths song, it seems to lack just about everything I like about them.
