There's probably been a thread about this before, cos I can't think I came up with it on me tod...

But really. That new Nickelback single - how fucking tedious?

"That new Nickelback single - how fucking tedious?"

And this is different from everything else they've done how exactly?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

does it amuse anyone else how ridiculously 'ping!'-y Nickelback's snare drum sounds, instead of the typical hard rock BOOM production. i mean, did Mitchell Froom do their record or something?

Al (sitcom), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Haven't heard it, but I still stand by "How You Remind Me". You must transcend the haircut, the embarassing video and the similarity with "Cumbersome" to find the beauty and groove.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

!!! My goodness, Anthony. Are we going to have a fight about Nickelback now? See, Survivor's "The Search is Over" had ten times more (mock stupid) grandeur and was just as ridiculous...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Is Anthony more modern rock radio-friendly than I am???

sundar subramanian (sundar), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

... I kind of like "How You Remind Me", too. At least, the chorus is good. That "blind man"/"poor man" nonsense is awful, though. I also like the Spider-Man "Hero" song.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Nickelback are okay, Puddle of Mudd are much more rock though!

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

"Hero" was just as bad when it was Seal's "Kiss From a Rose."

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

AAAAARGH Puddle of Mudd are from SATAN.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Nickelback, keeping it real from the prarries for all their homies in the foothills.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't even tell Nickelback from Puddle of Mudd from Staind from etc. etc. anymore these days without the assistance of an MTV-updated teenager, so I'd say "tedious" might be a decent word-choice.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah Dan! Satan's got the best tunes!!! ;-)

NOT EVEN A SMILEY CAN SAVE YOU NOW

Dan Perry's RIGHTEOUS IRE (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes sir. I never never never going to cite Nickelback in anything again ever sir. Sorry sir. Sorry sir. Please don't call my parents...

Mr Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:31 (twenty-two years ago)

"Nickelback are okay, Puddle of Mudd are much more rock though!"

Must you sully the good name of rock this way? What has rock ever done to you, Jel, that you should insult it so.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 20:52 (twenty-two years ago)

That'd be the Calling, then...

Mr Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 3 December 2002 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

....puddle of staind nicklefault... no matter, its all unlistenable

chad, Saturday, 7 December 2002 23:46 (twenty-two years ago)
