“at scaramouche” is an all timer

New album is great, but I also really like the 'One For The Money' EP with Thom Gill, especially the floating ambient sophistipop of "To Boy With Love" which is a SOTY contender.

ooh "to boy with love" is fantastic and the rest of the ep is very nice too

i'm not really vibing with the new album as much though

his solo output is great, also krgovich and harris collaborations, fresh pepper, and he plays on weather station, destroyer and sandro perri records?

Joseph Shabason has a great taste and sense of balance and tension in music. This last album is not quite my gear but I still like the concept and the choices he makes.

the new one is good and recommended if you liked at scaramouche.

While this collab project producing a cover of Destiny’s Child might have been more engagement-trolly, I’m very happy to receive a cover of MBV’s “Lose My Breath” instead.

I also cannot wait for this new record, truly stoked.

"lose my breath" is flat out gorgeous, i'd take it over the original. Unfortunately nothing else here is doing anything for me. Very subdued. The cover artwork is the most fun thing here. Ah well

New Shabason and Krgovivich single "Begin Again" is delightful (I was going to go with "beautiful" or "gorgeous" but we're running out of adjectives for these guys)

that is VERY nice. still looking for another record in their respective discographies that hits in the same way was 'At Scaramouche', but fingers crossed for this one.

Happily they have now also dropped "Midday Sun" and it is also great.

"begin again" hits this wonderful sweet spot that's like yo la tengo meets kaputt
