One of the things I love about Washington garage punkers from 1965 is the fucking banging drums, the Wailers and the Sonics both do this, it sounds so heavy for the mid-60s. everyone credits You Really Got Me but this is a year or less later and makes anything the Kinks put out in 64/65 sound a bit wimpy tbh
