He continued: “I’m not saying I won’t do it again, it was a beautiful success, but I’m not dwelling on the past.”

so since No Doubt isn't under a specific date, I assume they're just going to be busking around the grounds

It brings up many good points and I have to say I loathe how lazy Coachella posters are. They’ve recycled the exact same format for more than a decade now.

Yeah, this lineup does leave a lot to be desired

For comparison, consider Las Vegas’ Lovers & Friends festival, whose dizzying lineup includes Janet Jackson, Usher, Backstreet Boys, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Alicia Keys among its headliner spots. Or the stacked New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which features Queen Latifah, Hozier, Foo Fighters and Earth, Wind & Fire.

I don’t get how those are way more stacked than Coachella. (Unless the former also involves time travel to 2004.)

Goldenvoice has announced the lineup for their annual series of Coachella sideshows. “Goldenvoice Presents April 2024” features artists performing at the festival headlining shows in the Southern California and Bay Area throughout the month.

Shows include bar italia (with Great Area and The Place at Great American Music Hall on April 6 and with feeble little horse at Fonda Theatre on April 18); Blur (their first US show since 2015, with Jockstrap at Fox Theater Pomona on April 10); Jungle (at Fox Theater Pomona on April 11); Oneohtrix Point Never (on April 15 at The Regency Ballroom); Khruangbin (with Hermanos Gutiérrez on April 16 at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park); Taking Back Sunday (at The Glass House on April 16 and The Sound – Del Mar on April 17); Boy Harsher (with Eartheater at The Glass House on February 23 and with LUCY (Cooper B. Handy) at The Regency Ballroon on April 18); Young Fathers (at Great American Music Hall on April 17); Faye Webster (with Upchuck at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay on April 18); The Last Dinner Party (with Miss Grit at Music Box San Diego on April 19); Tyla (at The Regency Ballroom on April 29), and more. I've always stayed away from the Deftones because I thought they were a punk/ska band, but they're not bad.

Faye Webster was pleasant enough indie rock and it looked like she was wearing pajamas. Lil Uzi Vert was fun for a bit, dancing and running all over, but then I lost interest and switched over to Bizzarap who brought up Shakira for their hit. When I got tired of Biz's Latin edm, I switched to BC NR. Wiki tells me the old singer (who liked Slint) quit the group due to anxiety issues. I liked the use of different instruments till they started to sound more jam band than post punk. Aww, I missed Tinashe and Brittany Howard who might have been fun. Lana is on too late for me on the US east coast

This set is excellent. Guests: Donald Glover, ASAP Rocky, Charlie Wilson, Kali Uchis (I think).

Even all these years later - despite all the great music he has put out - it's hard not to think of Tyler as a jokester, a rabble-rouser, style over substance, etc. That's just how strong his first impression was ... it still reverberates.

But man, he is a great musician and a great performer.
