Adam A. (Keiko), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 20:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Jackie Wilson.

Matt C., Wednesday, 4 December 2002 20:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Jackie Wilson was not an adequate replacement for Clyde McPhatter in Billy Ward And The Dominoes. It's the real over-emotional sobbing and crying stuff that I love from Clyde - The Bells is the greatest example of this, and one of my all-time favourite records.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 20:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Ian Curtis, Julian Casablancas, that guy from The Smoking Popes

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 20:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Search: Nat King Cole, Jack Jones, Nancy Wilson, Elvis Presley, Lee Hazlewood, Serge Gainsbourg, Dusty Springfield, Nico, Harry Nilsson, Tom Waits, Ian McCullogh, Jarvis Cocker

Destroy: that note Tony Bennett pushes in most songs

Curt (cgould), Wednesday, 4 December 2002 20:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Search Elvis Costello, Barry Adamson, William Devaughn.

webcrack (music=crack), Thursday, 5 December 2002 02:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Search: In The Wee Small Hours, Let's Get Lost: The Best of Chet Baker Sings .

Colin Beckett (Colin Beckett), Thursday, 5 December 2002 03:05 (twenty-three years ago)

search - the crooner and the crooner in his other guise as the happy balloon.

keith (keithmcl), Thursday, 5 December 2002 03:18 (twenty-three years ago)

real over-emotional crying and sobbing isn't crooning.

Sean (Sean), Thursday, 5 December 2002 04:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Scott Walker, oh yeah, motherfucking Scott Walker.
The Walker Bros. are in the motherfucking HIZZOUSE.

Tom Millar (Millar), Thursday, 5 December 2002 04:25 (twenty-three years ago)

merl torme, lee hazlewood, gene pitney

Queen G (Queeng), Thursday, 5 December 2002 10:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Agree with plenty of the above. Sinatra obviously.

Also, Iggy's got a good croon on him when he wants to (Turn Blue, Endless Sea).

James Ball (James Ball), Thursday, 5 December 2002 10:59 (twenty-three years ago)
