aren't rekkid reviews meant to say "it does x, does y, inverts z, does b - whether or not you like it or not: feh!"?

for 'you like it' read 'it's good' depending on yr preference. i read a good review of david gray in this week's nme - i couldn't tell if it was a 'good' review or a 'bad' review - those are the best.

It's not that I want a thumbs up/down at the end. I just want some intimation of his opinion as to the work's value. I can literally never tell whether anything he writes about is better than anything else. It's all description. Which he is very good at.

I like him a lot, but then I'm not interested in buying the stuff he writes about. So whether he likes it or not means less to me. If he wrote about stuff I was thinking of picking up, I'd have more of a problem w/ his style.
