very hard to search for this band's name on ILM. is there anywhere y'all are talking about gouge away, and their objectively perfect new album deep sage

It's great.

This thread reminded me to listen to the the new TWIABP single. Gonna go do that now.

Went to see New Grounds Death Rugby and Oolong last night. Great show. Good vibes, great energy.

I've only recently started listening to emo but this song is one of the coolest things heard in a while and the whole EP it's on is really good.

I would say Oolong would be my emo album of the year I think. Or does Gouge away count?

four months pass...

I couldn't find a 2025 thread so I'll just throw it here. The Michael Cera Palin record has some really nice moments. He's an interesting lyricist. The go light on the twinkle revival vibes and push harder into pop punk with some mixed results but I still really like this record.

this is the type of algernon cadwallader cap'n jazz guitar playing I love but that name can go straight to the thread about band names so bad you put off checking them out for years

gman59, Thursday, 13 March 2025 15:39 (nine months ago)

Yeah, that's an absolutely terrible name. I didn't realize I'd be nostalgic for the days when the names were just mildly dumb like Com Truise or w/e.

i still like Com Truise, maybe cuz it feels like it was first ... but it also has a vibe that feels like it could *be* something ... basically sounds like Com Truise is a reasonable name for an act that makes that kind of music.

everything else since then, though...
