(sorry, intensely boring ...)

Anyone else using Audiogalaxy.com and finding it impossible to download anything? I wonder whether this is just me, or a wider problem.

I have had that problem for the last couple of days. I really do not know what it is.

It's been shaky for me the last week or so, but if you're persistent you should be OK.

Audiogalaxy is rubbish, Robin. Try Winmx at www.winmx.com.

Working OK again now.

If you use Audiogalaxy Bearshare or other apps like this, don't forget to scan your system once in a while for known advertising systems (spybots)and remove them with, like, Ad aware 4.6 http://www.lavasoft.de/aaw/ Trying this casts a different feeling to the app, no?

four months pass...
Is Audiogalaxy dying? According to Pitchfork News (and my audiogalaxy software, which is behaving naughtily), they are attempting to block all copyrighted material! Say it ain't so!

Last time I used it (Sunday), it was working okay. And it was all copyrighted material...

I hope this is just one of those nasty little rumors, because audiogalaxy is/was just starting to get as diverse as Napster in its offerings.

They're definitely blocking some stuff. Search for songs, and if you see a big 'X' where there should be a satellite icon, it's blocked.

Try also Morpheus, which allows multiple servers to get you the information at the same time--it really is the only one that's not infuriating to use.
