Ditto (wonder what they made of the Memphis heat?)! Was the sole voter for their album in the 2023 poll ("Droll, dry Dutch stuff in the Velvets tradition; this album there's a slight Young Marble Giants thread running through. Hit the sweet spots for me that the Yo La Tengo did for others.") Very partial to the Velvets / motorik thing as a Kiwi raised on Peter Gutteridge's work in the Clean, Snapper, etc.
Has anyone read any Robert Loesberg, the Rotterdam author they're named for? Doesn't seem like Enige defecten has been translated into English.
