• Old dryers that stutter and chug a lot when they get going.
• The kitchen of the cafe at the Black Cat combined with the bass from whatever's playing upstairs, esp. if it's dance/techno with a steady thump.
• When the TurboGrafx 16 emulator on my old computer would fuck up the FM synthesis and turn the music from 'Bonk!' into a merciless rhythmic grind of low-bitrate robo-vomit
• Large pieces of powerful machinery off in the distance on a foggy day, when the air's so thick it has its own reverb
• Whenever traffic noise, room tone, etc. start to sound like chord changes. That's the best.
