yeah, the mbv-effect guitar is prominent on this album but it's well done! it nods clearly to mbv while being its own thing

Not sure if I would consider this shoegaze, more dream pop maybe? I'm bumping Swervedriver for it as I can't bump the other two this go around. One reason is because I wanted a female led singer band on one of these, like Lush last year. I could have done something like Drop Nineteens, Curve or maybe even Slowdive but I wanted something a bit newer then my usual go to. This is three of five in a series of shoegaze band polls.

I like Easy On Yr Own or Pharmacist - people/ #%^$%^fork seem to go on about Belinda Says a lot but I just thought it was merely decent.

I never got obsessive with this album the same way i did with their first two, but the standout here is definitely "Pomeranian Spinster".
(xp: yeah, "Belinda Says" is barely in the top 5 on this album. i'm basically an alvvays superfan, and i never understood pfork's enthusiasm for that one)

huh, pomeranian is my only skip on this...
'bored in bristol' because of the emotional impact for me, but earthquake is objectively the best track on this.
