To Americans between 25-40, those TV commercials selling Slim Whitman records were ubiquitous.

Someone must have bought these things. Are any of them ILXers (or friends and/or family of same)? If so, what does this guy's music actually sound like?

(no cheating -- that scene in Mars Attacks! wr2 Mr. Whitman doesn't count!)

slim is great stuff. i'll back up alex in nyc on the yodel. i've got an lp with "indian love call", the mars attacks tune you mention...

anything that collects his singles from the 50's probably gathers the best of.
