― Booger Swamp Road (Boring, Maryland), Friday, 22 November 2024 16:28 (one year ago)
HorsegiirL hides her identity behind a chestnut-coloured horse head mask;[1] Daniel Rodgers of Vogue wrote in November 2023 of being shackled by an "NDNeigh" to not ask "serious, journalistic questions about [her] provenance [or] distinct biological make-up", but noted that she was Berlin-based and that she had described herself as "half-horse, half-human".[2] She told i-D in September 2023 that she uses the real name "Stella Stallion", grew up on "Sunshine Farms", and had gone from "making up my own melodies in my head when I was a young foal" to being "discovered by Whitney Horston at a harvest fest" as a teenager,[1] and she told Rodgers that she had "been famous for a while" and that she had listened to the likes of Crazy Frog and Hampton the Hamster growing up.[2] In addition, a February 2024 ABC News article described her as a "Black woman/horse/DJ", and of Mustang and Haflinger descent on her equine side.[3]

BIGBANG delivering the party vibes so far, they're genuinely so much fun onstage
― Roz, Monday, 13 April 2026 05:53 (one week ago)
i feel like bieber's set wasn't like that because audiences have different expectations for male vs. female pop singers - people are largely saying bieber's set was weird & disappointing - it's more that he's at a weird turning point in his career where he doesn't care at all about the expectations for a coachella set and there's nothing to make him care. like, if he stays on this trajectory then he'll likely slowly fade away from the mainstream pop world (despite making some of the best music of his career) but if he does go that way this is only right at the start of that
― ufo, Monday, 13 April 2026 12:19 (one week ago)
In order to say it has something to do with gender, I think you would need to have more examples to show a pattern. Maybe people are thinking of the Frank Ocean performance from a few years ago? But that caused a big backlash, as I recall. So it doesn't seem like a case of different expectations.
― o. nate, Monday, 13 April 2026 14:38 (one week ago)
a single Youtube comment saying "go girl! give us nothing!" became a stan culture meme and made Dua Lipa really step up her dancing and performance.
None of the "big pop girlies" would be allowed to entertain doing such a half-hearted show even if it would be as good as what Bieber gave the audience.
― boxedjoy, Monday, 13 April 2026 17:07 (one week ago)
i was into Oklou's performance, basically just showed up dressed like a grunge singer and delivered something really compelling. FKA twigs was good but it was a little overwhelming, my favorite part was actually without her, when there was a mid-set dance-off with some just devastatingly wild moves. I saw Cobrah long enough to see Grimes show up for a cameo to perform a song they collaborated on. overall she was a bit try-hard, then Grimes showing up just made me question her overall. Samia was vv good, i thought. Wet Leg was excellent, just a really legit performance from a band i've never really spent much time thinking about, but maybe i should start.

Caught a bit of Slayyyter, she was pretty good. Sabrina Carpenter put on an incredible show, tho Madonna took the wind out of the sails for several minutes there. Otherwise it was some amazing old school showbiz razzle dazzle, probably will go down as legendary. The XX was really great, I thought they were good weekend 1 as well. Turned on Teddy Swims and I lasted ten seconds, because the button on the remote didn’t respond right away.

Consequence x site regarding Strokes visuals at Cochella :
The Strokes' Coachella video montage displayed images of leaders purportedly targeted by the CIA, including Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba, Bolivian President Juan José Torres, Panamanian leader Omar Torrijos, Guatemalan President Jacobo Árbenz, Chilean President Salvador Allende, and Ecuadorian President Jaime Roldós.
The video also stated the US government was "found guilty" of Martin Luther King Jr.'s murder in a civil trial, a reference to 1999's King family v. Loyd Jowers in which a jury found restaurant owner Loyd Jowers and "others, including government agencies," liable for King's assassination.
The montage ended with a message claiming that more than 30 universities in Iran have been destroyed during America's war with Iran, followed by a final image of "the last university standing in Gaza" being blown up in a military strike

Saw NINoize last night and it was awesome. That set was imported from some House Harkonnen nightclub, I loved it.
Really enjoyed Kacey Musgraves, even though I don’t really fw any of her albums other than Golden Hour and much of STDP.
PinkPantheress was a blast, with some good cameos.
Blondshell played to a small crowd but I thought they were really good.
The appeal of Geese kinda eludes me but I’ll keep an open mind.
