Taking Sides: Converge (Later short songs) vs. Black Dice (Earlier Stuff)

i remember having a conversation with a friend after we saw converge about 5 years ago; the gist was that we would have enjoyed the band a lot more if their fans weren't so intent on punching each other in the neck and us in the kidneys.

the annoying thing is, i would normally have enjoyed converge, since their drummer (at the time?) was one of the best fast and precise grind players i've ever seen.

but nothing beats those early black dice shows, where they'd play for 5 seconds and break sound equipment / merchandise tables / walls.
