I've been starting a lot of polls lately, so here's one more. Let me know if it's getting annoying and I'll knock it off.
Related my Clash on Broadway poll, actually, I've been going through the process of digitizing my CD (and in some cases, cassette) music library. I start with 1991 as this appears to be the first year that I purchased a lot of new music from on CD (I don't think I got my first CD player until 1992, so all of these were after-the-fact purchases---waaaay after the fact, in some cases). Dangerous might've been a Christmas '91 present; I remember only being able to play the album on my parents' stereo for a while. Into the Great Wide Open might've been the only other one I actually acquired in 1991; it's the only one of these I explicitly remember owning on cassette. Cereal Killers is the only thing here I've since purchased on vinyl; I'm not a big fan of CD-era albums on vinyl, but it got reissued in a cool limited edition thing about a decade ago and I couldn't resist.
The list is unranked. Also, I didn't include compilations, so Clash on Broadway and James Brown's 20 All-Time Greatest Hits! are sitting this one out.
