Okay, heteros are cutting edge this year, too. (C. Grisso/McCain), Wednesday, 29 January 2025 20:17 (three months ago)

All tracks included, although for some reason only the stereo mix of the 45 edit of "Time Is Tight" is up at the moment.

"A Fool in Love," which I heard on Smokey's SiriusXM channel in the car yesterday, and found myself singing along with all the way through.

I kinda dig "Backfield in Motion" too.

Voted James Brown, a top 20 of his for me. Fits in nicely on so many playlists

Went with James Brown too. If it weren't for him, probably would've gone with Jerry Butler's "Only the Strong Survive," then "Just One Look." Stevie Wonder and Carla Thomas's singles are pretty great too. "Time Is Tight" is yet another great instrumental from Booker T. & The MG's - no surprise that Elvis Costello lifted it for Get Happy!!.

Also re: "Time Is Tight," I guess the "long" version (i.e. the LP version) is actually a different, faster take?

I keep missing these till the last minute...not as many favourites as the other two; I'll vote for the Velvelettes.

Wow, I disagree, too many favorites here for me to pick a winner. I’m going to throw “Teasin’ You” a vote since probably no one else will.
