my ballot doesn't really show a lot of interaction with the rest of ilm, but i love listening to the nominations and hearing everyone else's taste, especially those with their own idiosyncratic povs. i don't always have the time or energy to post about the music i like (i'm not the most effective advocate anyway) and i don't really have a lot of interest in reading music crit outside of ilx these days, so i guess that's why my taste seems to get more esoteric every year
