Just like when I closed the last Shoegaze month of polls with the Jesus and Mary Chain albums, I'm closing Pop month with an artist discography albums poll.

Never owned an album, but I've heard most of these more than a few times. For someone who doesn't appreciate contemporary pop production, I enjoy her quite a bit. I voted Good Girl Gone Bad slightly over Anti.

it's anti and i'm not even sure there is even a debate to be had? good girl gone bad is prob her only other legitimately good album. everything else is just a grab bag

well i'm being a bit harsh on rated r but the context of that album is so dark that i haven't listened to it in a very long time. but stuff like "te amo" and "cold case love" are good

looking at some of these tracklists again and i'm really not fond of a lot of this... the 'loud' tracklist is for real triggering my fight or flight. the back half of 'talk that talk' sheesh. there's that decent stretch on 'unapologetic' of "numb" -> "pour it up" -> "loveeee song" but then you immediately get plunged into the deep end of EDM. such a problem across these albums in general frankly

I think all of Rihanna's albums could all be described as "grab bag" to be honest, I think she's inherently best viewed as a singles artist. Like I would not say Talk That Talk is a good album at all, but then I look at the singles on it and I'm like okay, smash smash smash smash.

GGGB and Rated R are the only other plausible answers aside from Anti.

Probably not the best artist for an albums poll, this one was throwing it out there and see if it sticks

I'm going with Rated R. It's the only album of hers where the singles aren't my very favourite songs. Cold Case Of Love, The Last Song and especially Fire Bomb are up there with the best songs she's ever done. There isn't a weak moment on it and even the will.i.am song is a keeper.
