TS: MBV vs Foreigner

"When you take as much care with your records as we do — and we follow them to the factory — you’re bound to be accused of being too calculating. But really, we’re far more interested in trying to make music that will send shivers down our own spines than in trying to be the Perfect Rock Group. It isn’t perfection that makes great records, and we left lots of imperfections on our first album. The guitar solo on ‘I Need You’, for instance, is live. I was prepared to polish it, but Ian convinced me that it captured a good feel." - Mick Jones

any ILM-er caring to recall when exactly was the last time Foreigner "sent shivers" down their spine? the intensity of said shivers? amplitude, shape, duration?
my shiver-graph, as it happens, hasn't registered any Foreign'' force at all after 1978,
when recurrent quakes of about sieben-auf-der-nach-oben-offenen-richterskala kind lasted for nigh three months
(curiously enough, quite shortly before that a coupla vivid ufo sightings were registered round these parts as well, of the martian lanscape variety; which may've partly been a coincidence)

Yeah about an hour ago, driving home in the early dark listening to Classic Gold. 'I Want To Know What Love Is' came on and it felt right, it felt good. Sing/muttering along, "this mountain I must climb/feels like the world upon my shoulder", I'm sure there was a shiver there... but it was fucking freezing and there was a bit of a draft, so...
