Went with Starr. That was not a favorite when I first knew it, and for a long time it was kind of neutered into a joke whenever I heard it (like in those awful Rush Hour movies). But it's tremendously angry and rightfully so, and I don't just hear it, I feel it whenever I play it now.

Hard to convey how inseparable those three songs are for me. I was quite likely hearing them played in close proximity on CHUM as an eight-year-old; they were released in Jan./Feb./April 1970.

I possibly only heard "Want Ads" post-Avalanches but have ever since been of the opinion that every pop song ever should be buttressed with strings like that.

It's interesting to hear that someone doesn't know "Groove Me"--it's been in a ton of commercials in the states, and also was a memorable end-credits gag on an otherwise pretty sucky Simpsons episode.

The bass line on “Groove Me” changed the way I thought about bass playing. So simple but phrased perfectly. My favorite memory of that song was walking around downtown Port of Spain in Trinidad while this car selling bootleg cds blasted it. This little 3 yr old girl stopped and did the most badass little dance with a very serious face
