ILM all genres collaborative playlist

I started a new collaborative playlist for ilxors and lurkers, tracks from any genre, old or new, obscure or well known. If you follow the link below you should be able to add stuff:

I really enjoy the nominations playlists for the end of year polls, just putting them on shuffle and getting a random selection of what ilm has been listening to over the past year, so I thought this could be something similar, but not covering any particular time period? Anyway, please add stuff as frequently or infrequently as you wish.

re: sensible guidelines for the playlist

a contributor robw has added 2 whole albums to the playlist today.

surely with a collaborative playlist, sticking to adding 1 track by an artist at a time would be more appropriate, otherwise it messes with the flow of the playlist.

that seems reasonable. idk if robw intended to add individual tracks but accidently added the full albums instead? I'll delete the full albums. If robw wants to they're fine to re-add one track from each of the 3 albums, though.

Umm.. I like this idea. I hope you don't mind but I posted three in a row as I got a bit excited. Will try and rein myself in in future. Off for a run, so I'll be listening now

I think posting three tracks in a row is probably fine, so long as the playlist in general doesn't end up being overly dominated by any one contributor! idk, what do other people think? maybe a maximum of 3 tracks per person per day just to stop things from getting too unwieldy?

I've been listening to the new tracks as they're added but other than that I've tended to put the playlist on shuffle and treat it more like a radio station with a playlist made up of stuff chosen by ilm posters, so I'm happy to keep adding more stuff to the original playlist rather than start a new one.

I really like the Henry Flynt track that robw posted earlier today.

yeah that's what i've been doing. there's all sorts on there. I like a lot of it. I don't like some of it, but that's the fun of a grab bag compilation

sorry for the weekend splurges - it was weighing heavy on my mind, seems now that owt else i'd like to add is not on spotify, not really suitable for a playlist, or would be akin to me repeating myself.

Had a little splurge myself, but also went through and listene to a bunch of stuff and... so much of it is great. Definitely found some amazing stuff in here which ive saved to return to later
