Things that make you leave a concert early

1-Vocalist begging for a pit to form

2-Back is killing me from standing

3-headliner taking stage at 1 am

4. The Primitives are playing their headline set too quietly, and The Bachelor Pad are playing just down the road.

5. I have stood here for 45 mins and have not seen a f&cking thing other than dry ice, sod this, i'm off home. (Sisters Of Mercy of course)

6. Thought I was seeing [Disgorge], found out it was actually [Disgorge Mexico]

Makes me slightly less regretful missing them last September.

Never left a gig early, those things are expensive. Mind you I've only been to five gigs in the last few years, I understand some people go every week.

13. Iron deficiency anaemia (couple of weeks ago)

xxp 1998 Moon Pix tour w/the Dirty Three guys, sounded incredible for 6-7 songs, then devolved into second-guessing and false starts until Jim White gave up and walked off-stage, which I have never seen a musician do before or since. random audience members then tried to jam and failed. it was painful to watch, so we left.

the stage is only three inches off the floor so it's hard to see anything as it, and then the performer has a broken leg and has to stay in a seat so you cannot see anything over the taller people which seems to be everyone else at the gig, and you'd have been as well staying at home (Westerman)

14. It's not actually a concert, I've just been standing in front of a Sweetgreen for two hours

Done that MORE than once. (Without regret, it was a delight to get home at a reasonable hour.)

this happened re Killing Joke in Leeds (late 80s).
i waited, and waited.
not a good decision.
they were so late they powered through their set at ridiculous speeds (i guess to honour the contract), and walked off.
truly dreadful gig.
thankfully red lorry yellow lorry were the fantastic support.

incredibly loud tuneless electronic noise accompanied by someone at the front of the stage banging sheet metal with a hammer. (pan sonic, many many others left too.)

there might have been power tools involved.

23. the macho energy of the crowd is kind of off-putting so you leave halfway thru to go to the gay bar next door
