Yesterday, I started singing the chorus/finish to this song, despite not having heard it since I was about 14 years old. This was Atom's band before he became Atom & His Package.

Anyway, I listened to their whole No Idea LP last night, and I stand by my belief at the time: Fracture were a better band than Dillinger 4 and similar harder-edged pop-punk bands. They really should have been better known.

I saw a bunch of those OHIO bands of that time but never saw these dudes.

I saw Zero Boys first reunion show back I think either 91 or 92 at Second Story in Bloomington and it was one of the most fun shows I ever saw. That place was backed and it was a huge homecoming show for punk rockers of that area.

Who doesn't. I regret not seeing the Zero Boys when I had the chance, they must've been over to play Rebellion Festival and stopped off in London but I think there was something else on at the same time

Old punk I have been listening to this week: Karma Sutra - The Daydreams Of A Production Line Worker - anarcho/peace punk from 1987 that just got reissued. I listened to this like 20 years ago and didn't really like it because it was too mellow I think, I wanted my anarcho punk to sound like Conflict back then. I've come around to it now

I've also started relistening to 90s Chumbawamba recently for similar reasons - I dismissed a lot of it at the time for not being "punk" enough - outside of a few songs off Anarchy which I did like at the time, Enough Is Enough was a big hit down the indie disco after all. One of my friends at the time said something like their politics are great but why do they sound like a bunch of schoolteachers

lol that was my reaction to Chumbawumba in my punkest days, too, but I came around to them in uni, fittingly enough— they do have a studied piece about them, but I have more tolerance for that as I get older

Classic. I also first heard the Dinosaur Jr cover probably about 91/92 when I bought Fossils. Didn't hear the original until I downloaded it from Napster on my friend's PC

90s Chumbawamba is my favorite! So many great songs. "Un" from 2004 is good too.

Wow that's cool. I haven't seen them since 2009. I took my late wife's nephew with me, it was his first gig! He was into death metal so I thought he might like and he did. He was 12 so I had to tell him to say he was 14 if anyone asked but nobody did

wow the original "Chunks" is so great

one thing I love about the cover is that palm muting chirp-y metallic harmonic-y sound J gets when he's strumming between riffs... (totally forget what that technique is called, apologies!)

Red Alert album “We’ve Got the Power” - yeah good record, some good singles on No Future records around that time too. their guitarist ended up playing bass for the Cockney Rejects later on, no longer with us unfortunately
