C/D - The Outlaws: Green Grass and High Tides

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz2CAtExXgQ

- absurd lyrics, even before the burst of tambourines take you there
- they stretched it out to 20+ minutes live
- FLORIDA GUITAR ARMY
- it goes nine minutes but it never gets old
- ranked incredibly high on the WDVE Pittsburgh Memorial Day 500 in the mid 80s before i'd even heard it (because it was too long for them to play it regularly)
- the last guitar snarl at the end is incredible

better bump a whole bunch of threads; maybe someone will pay attention to me ;_;

one of the very few albums i picked on vinyl in the last few years (from a charity shop of course).
not so sure i have ever played it.

(xposts) You forgot the most important part: I mentioned it in the little note for my graduating-year high school yearbook.

Appropriately enough, kind of blurry (1979).

this one was a hard one to play on rock band (or guitar hero? i can never remember)

Yeahhhhh...no. I have a pretty low tolerance for (non-Allmans) Southern rock at the best of times, and this just feels like poorly reheated Skynyrd.

omg yearbook entry

(and hair, of course)
