I'm jumping on this bandwagon.

Since I started streaming music, I've kept a running Top 40 list of my current favorite songs. Not my alltime list, just the ones I'm most enjoying at the moment. Lots of good ones here but which is best?

Yeah...if I like a song I put it on the list. My only rule is it has to be 40 songs. Some of these I've only heard once.

hoover factory has been a sentimental companion for nearly 35 years, an effortless melody with quotidian nonsense lyrics and a perfect beach boys finale. “it’s not a matter of life and death, but what is?” feels like one of those comforting pseudoprofundities from a smiths song, but the follow-up not caring if he dies is sung so cheerfully it would make morrissey cringe.
