Honestly, Landlord is so good, I feel like he's being semi-ironic and also I kinda just don't care overall, what difference does it make?

i liked supreme clientele 2 more than i expected to. was surprised by how old school it was (older school than the original even, lots of 80s breakbeats, “my melody” sample, etc.)

new Mobb Deep is really well done, I'm surprised how much it feels like a real record. Probably the best posthumous one I can think of since Imperious Rex by Sean Price.

Kool Keith has had a ton of stuff the last few years and a lot of it’s great, he’d totally resisted the main thing that seems to be an issue as artists age where their flows seem to stop sounding like they’re tracking out new ideas and instead just kind of follow predictable paths as if the journey has been completed and they can just hang out at the destination

I hear ppl talk about new killah priest stuff a lot as well
