I've been listening to Disco Inferno all week long. Post-rock Xmas for me!

Chris Barrus (Elvis Telecom), Tuesday, 23 December 2008 18:37 (sixteen years ago)

I listened to DI Go Pop a couple weeks ago, then pulled out Technicolour this week. Great albums both!

"Footprints in Snow" has been my urban snowwalking music, amidst the driver chaos. In fact, all of Disco Inferno is great for snowwalking in a place that doesn't normally get snow!

"Sustainability Sucks" T's Ahoy For Urban Outfitters Bootches (Mackro Mackro), Wednesday, 24 December 2008 03:59 (sixteen years ago)

Hey, neat. :-)

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 24 December 2008 04:59 (sixteen years ago)

Listened to all of The Five EPs tonight! Thanks, Ned!

ilxor, Thursday, 25 December 2008 08:43 (sixteen years ago)

two weeks pass...

Ned, is "the five eps" what you sent me way back when? it's unlabeled.

roxymuzak, Saturday, 10 January 2009 01:53 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, that's it!

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 10 January 2009 02:12 (sixteen years ago)

Thanks for doing that, way back then!

I listened to it yesterday morning while driving around town, and it totally made my day.

roxymuzak, Saturday, 10 January 2009 02:13 (sixteen years ago)

:-) Those songs definitely rank high on my "I still haven't gotten tired of these songs after all these years" list.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 10 January 2009 02:16 (sixteen years ago)

I owe thanks to Ned also for the Five EPs, it has enriched my life. Thanks Ned.

Mark, Saturday, 10 January 2009 04:15 (sixteen years ago)

Too kind. :-)

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 10 January 2009 05:04 (sixteen years ago)

I listened to my copy about a month ago. Totally fucking astounding, those songs.

ilxor, Saturday, 10 January 2009 06:05 (sixteen years ago)

I also thank Ned for sending me this.

one year passes...

Are the five EPs completely impossible to find on vinyl? moderately hard? or possible?

sonofstan, Sunday, 2 May 2010 18:06 (fifteen years ago)

I'd say next to impossible to find. I've been searching for a while now. I scored probably one of my greatest finds getting the 'Second Language' LP new for £9. Apart from that all I've managed to get is the 'It's a Kids World' EP second hand of ebay. I did managed to seek out copies of 'Open Doors, Closed Windows' and 'Science' on vinyl though.

All in all I have all the EP's in some form accept for 'The Last Dance'. At this stage I'm not even convinced that one was released physically. =)

AnotherDeadHero, Sunday, 2 May 2010 18:52 (fifteen years ago)

I'd forgotten how good The Last Dance is.

djh, Sunday, 2 May 2010 20:17 (fifteen years ago)

It's fucking fantastic. That's the hurtful thing.

AnotherDeadHero, Sunday, 2 May 2010 23:31 (fifteen years ago)

Just a few more months...

I'd like to announce the formal release of _The Five EPs_ by Disco Inferno

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 2 May 2010 23:37 (fifteen years ago)

These evening I want to post a link to this old piece of writing by someone else: http://freakytrigger.co.uk/ft/1999/12/2-disco-inferno-the-last-dance/ , that's all.

djh, Thursday, 6 May 2010 19:07 (fifteen years ago)

managed to sell all the cds of these for a decent $125 via discogs last week. I'll save my guilt for later.
