Great idea for a thread! I can't keep up either, but the one I've really loved this year was the Ale Hop & Titi Bakorta album. They were great live as well.

Great label - I don't love everything they put out but it's always worth a listen. Have you guys nommed any of the ones from this year in the EoY poll thread?

some of the most fun music in the past few years

I'm a huge fan, nominated a couple of this year's releases in the poll (Nakibemebe Embaire Group & Naoyuki Uchida, and the Jako Maron), will have to go back through my faves.

I feel like I virtually always end up voting for one of their releases in EOY polling. This slightly more IDM-adjacent one (*inadequate description alert*) also caught my attention in the nominations thread this week:

Saccades is something of an outlier. I guess I had a soft spot for Rian Treanor already but going to Uganda to collaborate with trad fiddle player Ocen James made for an interesting surprise.
