I was going to wait a few weeks before starting back up these blocks but changed my mind when I opened a beer. Now I'm motivated and wanted to start this before we get her new album sometime this year? I'm not going to do a bunch of repeats and this is probably the only artist that will repeat from the pervious Pop polls but haven't finished hashing out the rest yet.

Video Games - speaking of, such a classic and seems so easy. The way the bass drops on a tide of cold water

Diet Mountain Dew - absolutely love this song, makes no sense but is able to get down. Her love song to NYC

National Anthem = America

Probably will get my vote

are there reappraisals on that SNL performance?

Despite working on the three remixes (for Video Games, Blue Jeans and Gods and Monsters) that we did as Club Clique, mostly long before the album came out, I still like Radio best.

An incredible album, love the way LDR inhabits her characters, great songs with interesting arrangements too. Loads of possibilities to choose from but National Anthem just about steals it for me.

Million Dollar Man - is probably classified as filler but brings a yearning for a time that's pass

Summertime Sadness - is her best song? I mean it really transparent

This Is What Makes Us Girls - Lana Del Rey ending songs are the wrong picks but this might be the best one overall

Of the extra three "Lucky Ones" is the best and is actually good too

I'm as unnerved as anyone by the seemingly unanimous consensus (+ as lex aptly put it, "residual suspicions about what i suspect is a shtick")... but at the same time, it really *does* feel like this totally unique, amazing, timely song that just... appeared from nowhere.

I've only ('only') played it like a half-dozen times today tho, and am trying to balance my desire for further listening against my desire to adopt a more critical and self-aware position in said listening (I get suspicious when something seems "too good to be true"). not that I'm rushing to be the first one to burst the internet echo chamber's bubble of irrational exuberance; just that I'd like to deconstruct my own and other people's reactions to this (very very good) piece of music in order to understand *why* it's hitting us all so hard.

It’s hardly a shock that her music so far is so diverse given all the people she’s been in the studio with over the past year, some of whom include Eg White (Adele, Duffy), Chris Braide (Cheryl Cole, Paloma Faith), Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, Katie Melua), and newcomers Robopop (Neon Hitch, Gym Class Heroes).

I’m not sure if Miss Del Rey has landed a major label record deal yet (I’m sure she probably has and is just waiting to announce it), but she’s under the same PR company in the UK as Adele and Bjork, so the wheels are certainly in motion.

You did the Club Clique remix for "Video Games" ?! Omg I love it so much, I kind of like it better than the original ! Definitely a million times better than the Cedric Gervais remix of "Summertime Sadness".

When "National Anthem" came out, I thought it was finally going to be the big hit. Especially with that gorgeous video. It wasn't, but it gets my vote.
