Evan. Dando.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

He was in front of me at at Urge Overkill show once (!). Throwing hand shapes, foaming at the mouth, tossing his blonde mane. Clearly the man had been sucking the plastic phallus.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

link me up to documents about their crack smokin'...

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:38 (twenty-two years ago)

is crack creative? is there such a genre as 'the crack rock' made by people on crack, solely for the enjoyment of people to smoke crack too?

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

It's called jazz-fusion. Come join us.

Oh no, I'm sorry. I just saw you wrote "no irony". Now I REALLY feel like an asshole. Sorry, doom.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Marti Pellow was into the rock for a time. And heroin. Smokin' Lamborghini's and chasing the dragon didn't do too much for his creativity though...

Roger Fascist (Roger Fascist), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

so....if crack is an acceptable drug in nyc, would ole dirty bastard be the elvis for crack heads?

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

or alternatively is crack more creative than heroin?

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 14:11 (twenty-two years ago)

There's no such thing as a harmless joke
There's no such thing as a gentle toke
There's no such thing as Pamela Jack
Who's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?

I am a goat.
In a moat.
With a boat.
Who's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?

I like it when my hair is poofy.
I like it when you slip me a roofie.
I like it when you've got the crack
Who's got the crack?!
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?

I wanna be a hippie but I forgot how to love
It's hard to be a garbage man when a sailor stole my glove
I wanna be reckless but I'm feeling so uptight
Put your mama in a headlock baby and do it right
Who's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Whoo-oo-oo's got the crack?
Who's got the craaack?

where is suzy when you need her to talk about brett anderson going on about "smoking crack in front of the tv" while writing headmusic?

oh yeah, down sainsburys buying COOKIES.

kate, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

'The dead guy from sublime' wasn't into crack rock, as he attested in the lyric "I don't smoke the rock/only smoke sensi".

I can't think of any musos that DID it, but I know Fishbone wrote a great song called "Pray to the Junkiemaker" about it, and the spoken-word prelude "Junkiemaker's Prayer" is one of the most hilarious recordings I can think of..."my pusher/who ar't in the crackhouse/hollowed by thy bitches and hos/as for I am sprung/my rocks will be done..." Classic.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Biggie Smalls would be too obvious? It didn't look like he was on it though (way too big), just around it.

eight years pass...

Nikki Sixx and Slash, as related in their autobiographies.

Did David Berman use it regularly?

Who else?

buhlogna mindstate (Pillbox), Wednesday, 15 June 2011 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

Please tell me Steve-o has not released music.

What's the story with the Mars Volta? That surprises me. I don't know a ton about them but their rep is that they're super serious self-righteous dudes (which clashes with the vibe of crack dudes I have been acquainted with).

She Got the Shakes, Wednesday, 15 June 2011 14:35 (fourteen years ago)

just salacious gossip I guess, but I've heard that rumour several times. I imagine it was a short-lived thing if there's any truth to it at all. Heard the same rumour about Trail of Dead.

in a fog of subpar wings (rip van wanko), Wednesday, 15 June 2011 14:47 (fourteen years ago)

Q: crack is the new indie-rock drug of choice for artists and fans alike
