Agreed. It's been a while since I've listened to this, but it was obviously an era-defining record. Can't believe how long it's been.

Not sure what I'm going to vote for, but maybe I will be influenced by the Tiny Desk performance.

There are ghost notes (or ghost sounds i guess) in the last third of Cool where you'd expect a full on repetition of her 'Yaaays' and 'Woahhs' but they don't appear. It's distinctly unusual and special IMO, so it has to be that one.

man "Levitating" came out as the pandemic began and was still on the chart when vaccines were introduced.

I remember right after restaurants started to open up again, my wife and I went out to a local place where the bartenders had put on a playlist comprised solely of Dua Lipa songs.

"Don't Start Now" comes in at number 5, wow! She does get two more songs in the Top 100 but the others aren't on this album.

#4 sorry, don't want to short change her.

One more correction, she has four as "Levitating" (feat. DaBaby) is also on the list.

Hallucinate!

This album is wall to wall bangers but the last song lyrics are cringey.

Still haven't decided.

Yeah for sure. Some really cool production details in there

You better go listen to lemonade and pray about it (Spottie), Saturday, 28 February 2026 06:27 (yesterday)

it was always a favorite lyrically too. i love that kind of longing in a pop song. i think dua lipa's strengths were always romantic. i mean it isn't like she really did any other type of song lol. and lol at talking about her in the past tense.

there was a pretty good midland remix of it too. was this kind of the apex of the 'dance remix' album? lots of house/techno royalty on this one incl a pretty nice moodymann version of "don't start now". a little underwhelming compared to the actual album though, which production wise is ace.
