Took the idea from omar's Steely Dan title-track thread...Try to fill in the blanks for Neil Young, up to and including Re·ac·tor. Starting with the computer album, I personally don't care for a whole lot beyond that, but feel free to supply a missing title track for any album you want. You can choose a song or a lyric, as in "Doctor Wu"'s "Katy tried/Katy lies" turning into Katy Lied.
The four albums, pre-1982, without a title track: Neil Young, Zuma, American Stars 'n Bars, Re·ac·tor.

Debut, definitely something from "The Loner": maybe A Perfect Stranger Know When You See Him, or Down at the End of the Car.

Three titles there (missing a comma between stranger/know).
Re·ac·tor should have been get back on it, Mirror Ball should have been What Happened Yesterday.

I want to say I Still Can't Remember When or How I Lost My Way for Zuma, but too much like If I Could Only Remember My Name by Neil's good friend David Crosby.

"American Stars 'n Bars" should def be "The Old Homestead"

Re·ac·tor should obviously be "T-Bone", c'mon

I really like the sideways "Dr. Wu" idea, so for Stars 'n Bars I'd go with either half of the same lyric: Once I Thought I Saw You or In a Crowded Hazy Bar. (I've suddenly become really intrigued by this idea--any other examples besides "Dr. Wu"/Katy Lied, a lyrical snippet that serves as a de facto title track?)

"The Old Homestead" was on Hawks and Doves though!
I like the idea of giving an offhand album an offhand title track. It also alludes to completing his Reprise contract.

Decade-era, solo/& Crazy Horse studio albums only:
1. Fever on the Freeway (1968) 2. Be On My Side (1969) 3. Fly Away Without You (1970)4. I Lost My Band (1971) 5. Sickness Gone (1974)6. It Wasn't Supposed to Go Down That Way (1975)7. Danger Bird (1975)8. Harpoon Dodger (1977)
I don't actually think these are better than the actual titles--certainly not in the case of Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, which is just a perfect title. 2 and 3 kinda fit the album covers, and I only chose 7 because of the cover image. 4 is very I've Got My Own Album To Do, I know, but I couldn't resist. 6 is the only one I might prefer to the actual album title, though I'm kinda in love with 8.

Sickness Gone feels like the album that should have come after It Wasn't Supposed to Go Down That Way, or maybe the latter is more poignant for following the former. I dunno.

oops! OK then yeah "From Star To Star", you don't even have to change the artwork!

(xxpost) Some good ones there; especially like 3, 5, and 6. (I Lost My Band is good in the abstract, but not sure that it captures Harvest--plus people might have thought he meant C,S, and N!) Had to look up #1 to match it to a song.
