i saw them live in 2005 and then again in either 2007 or 2010 in support of new wave or white crosses. i can't remember how much reinventing... material they were still doing in the 2005 show, but there must've been some cause i remember singing a long (and moshing lol). by the second show LJG had stopped screaming and iirc they'd stopped doing stage banter, which had been really funny

i feel like there are very old posts of mine where i go hard for this album but my impression over the years is that people really only got on board after new wave/white crosses

i think this album wears its heart on its sleeve too much for the average ironical detached ilxor

anyway here's some of my personal AM! lore

-saw em in 02/03? at the church in philly - rushed the stage as i think happened at all their early shows - probably one of the most cathartic moments of my life. still think about it.
-pints of guinness known to make me cry
-had an ipod nano with "an iron-fisted champion" engraved on the back
-voted walking
-my favorite version of walking is off the 2000 ep i think. but i'm definitely in the camp of 'the shittier it sounds the better it is' with AM!
