As I was alluding to in the other thread, this was going to be a singles or greatest hits poll. But as posted it was done already so I had to pivot to something else. I was not moving from having a poll featuring Grace Jones.

This is tough! Going with "Walking in the Rain."

For me this is between “Walking in the Rain” aka the greatest gender flip cover version of all time, and “I’ve Done It Again” which would be in my top ten for best lyrics ever.

xp hell yeah. i'm really only familiar with pull up to the bumper, guess i should give the rest a listen. whenever i listen to 'pull up to the bumper' i basically imagine the anvil steel mill / gay club in the simpsons, just a mass of gym-ed out gay dudes singing along.

Ended up keeping my vote for "Walking in the Rain."

It's odd that I never hear "Demolition Man" in the wild. "Bumper" and "Libertango" are the ones I hear the most by far. But "Demolition Man" was the first single and it had a memorable video that MTV played from time to time.

You'll never know around here, none of those other posted Grace Jones polls had more than 17 votes. Even with low engagement, this poll got 50 votes. I thought this was going to be a failure but pleasantly surprised.

I think I read recently in an ILE thread that the total active population of ILX is only about 200 people. So that means that a quarter of us voted in this poll!

I want to mention that the deluxe reissue of Nightclubbing included a previously unreleased track, her version of Gary Numan's "Me! I Disconnect from You". It's a radical rearrangement, really worth a listen if you've not heard it.
