Best late 90s Wu affiliate album 1997-2000

The pillage is an obvious front runner as is the ghost dog soundtrack :-/ but Wu syndicate, Killarmy, La the dark man, killa priest?? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don’t think that Deadly Venoms album ever came out

No wait, a Belgian label put out a version this year

heavy mental

...and let me just promote another late 90s hiphop poll that may be of interest to fans of this poll: DJ PREMIER - Crooklyn Cuts Volume III Tape D (Tape Kingz, 1997)

this is a little out of the timeframe, but Warcloud aka Holocaust is a Wu affiliate guy I discovered this year. very weird and grimey, like maybe a more street oriented Killah Priest, real genuine weirdo. Sadly, died in police custody a few years ago :(

well worth a list

really only know Pillage, Heavy Mental, and The Swarm, bookmarking this thread for recommendations

This is one of my favs. Both Killarmy albums are great to me

gonna check out Warcloud thnx M@tt

funny timing I opened twitter and the first thing i saw was this

Gravediggaz, Sunz of man and shabazz the disciple tracks between 94-97 is some of the best rapping you'll ever hear in your life. Way ahead of its time and birthed a whole generation of future MC's

the sunz of man album the last shall be first seems to be called "natural high" now on streaming?

co-sign killarmy. that first album has especially good beats.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

went Gravediggaz but there's loads of stuff to check out here

The Swarm has Cobra Clutch on it, which I personally think is top 5 ghostface

the swarm is kinda cheating since it’s a comp but the best stuff on it is s-tier wu

I've been listening to old Czarface lately, and now I'm checking all this stuff out. At the time so much Wu stuff was being released that I couldn't keep up with all of fit, and I guess I always assumed poor quality control so I didn't even try. I'm listening to Killarmy's "Silent Weapons.." and I'm thinking I might be about to go on a Wu bender.

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

the early Czarface stuff is great, can't bring myself to listen to the Tom Hardy album

It's a good album, but he's definitely the worst thing about it. He stands out in a bad way. With lesser rappers he'd be ok, but he's way out of his league.

would've voted the first killarmy album. i love the dusty 4th disciple beats. the military concept is a great fit for the dense referential paranoid mythical wu tang poetics

waging guerrilla warfare, supply the yellow jackets
each one containing a mini sovereign homing missile, fit in your size bracket
puerto rican terrorist from the middle east refusing the mark of the beast
increase your energy by one bar while i unleash

Ghost dog lmfao

First killarmy was my vote, “blood for blood” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
