Ah now Pete, I'm just completing a review of "The W" for Elidor, and have concluded that virtually nothing on the first half of the album goes wrong, but virtually nothing on the second half goes *right*. That in itself must disqualify it for such a lofty honour as this.

I must disagree with Tom and field with Sterling that "Stankonia" is the year's best album (and yes, I know you could contrive "69 Love Songs" as a 2000 release, in which case it would obviously sweep the board, but I want this to be an album not released *anywhere in the world* before this year.
