Jandek: a 2-part question

For my take on these 2 important questions, see below:

Yes, I believe the boy is or was on drugs, like most people who released their first album in 1978. I think he was perhaps on the most drugs of all. Or maybe he is just a shizophrenic manic depressive who dabbled in drugs a little bit. Or maybe, like Salvador Dali, he "is drugs". There is a connection between Jandek and drugs, for sure, some how some way. I think. Isn't there?

I can easily spot his influence in early Sonic Youth. That doesn't mean I'm right, but hey, I can say whatever I want, right, just like all other music authority types? Sure I can. And I say, Thurston Moore's been ripping off Jandek since he learned how to walk.
