t'is not exactly about the Alb's O' Yer, more 'bout one of the peculiarly amazing items amidst the contributors' Pros&Cons --

I agree, particularly 'cos reading Dave Tompkins Pros made the issue, where in he recounts dreams to remember.

The WIRE sent Hua Hsu and I to interview Sheena Easton at her library of horror memorabilia which included a shrine to Rondo Hatton and Famous Monsters of Filmland Editor and 'punslinger' Forry Ackerman, who in real time, had taken seriously ill; Hsu looks at Sheena's air brushed Red Foxx tapestry and says 'F the Cons, manm this is all-pro!"

Pros: DJ stint in a bar with friends / Sonar 2002 + Barcelona / Edingburgh / downloading more mp3s than ever before / Failing then passing by driving test - written; the practiacl still looms threateningly in 2003 / Mr. Lif and Edan / Cex @ Sonar / Cambridge Film Festival + Royal Tennenbaums / Family wedding / growing a beard

Cons: not enough people coming to bar where we DJed / Following a local indie/hiphop specialist closing, HMV is now the best record store in my one horse town / everything else ever / this not being as funny as Dave Tompkins

/selected/ Pros mk 1: the first reading-through of the extended two-part cut of Mark S's 'Noise'; the first reading took hours, until early morning actually, and -- evidently; partly -- inspired a peculiar black-and-white (tho' music-less) dream with Frank Kogan in it (tho' no Richard Meltzer, as far as *i* can tell)

/selected/ Cons: forgetting to write the damn dream down properly first thing in the morning, therefore managing only a poor mess of a repro much later, so embarrassingly messy in fact that i didn't dare mention it to Frank K at all...
...in the dream department, the rest of the year was all downhill from there, naturally, until --

Pros mk 2: ILM

Pro : getting married / the CDs I made for the wedding / getting a visa to stay in Brazil as long as I like / internet downloads through my ADSL connection / taking my laptop to Laptop Jams in Brighton / Semiconductor performance at Hospital in Brighton / visiting Beijing / My Computer, The Gongs, Orbital's Back to Mine, Pierre Bastien, Madredeus remixed, a CD I bought from a chinese busker in the Whitgift Centre, Croydon / Russian pop music / Mongolian Reggae / English Folk / my tape of Georghe Zamfir and eastern european folk-rock / ILM.

Cons : the bureaucracy associated with getting married and getting a visa / Blair'n'Bush / health related stuff / ILM addiction :-(
