White Sky remains my favorite, although I haven't given the others as much playing time in my auto's CD-changer - White Sky remained for many long commutes from late '99 to mid '00. Three's a bit much for my tastes and almost a little cheesy. If twee's what you're after, pick up Gerrora Songs first.

ok, I've been playing 'three' lately. It goes well with the colors of autumn, and tastes like glazed beef and pineapple shish kebabs.
can anyone suggest music that sounds similar to 'three' or some of his other stuff?from his other albums I play these songs most frequently: "tell me now, I'll be waiting, good man, O KY"
great man

The track "Way of the Sun" is utterly perfect.

I like Three, but sometimes it feels a bit overstuffed.

"Way of the Sun" seems to dovetail pretty well with the spate of post-apocalyptic films that have come out in the last few years...Time of the Wolf, Children of Men, etc...also, a weird thematic link to the most recent Midlake LP...

Sam Prekop's excellent solo records (s/t and Who's Your New Professor) are a must-hear....though less Cat Stevens and more jazzy (closer to the Sea and Cake's stuff really)

Listening to Wilderness this morning and I've never picked up on as many (any?) George Harrison vibes as I do today.

that album is an absolute landmark for me. i've always said that archer made some of my favorite 70s pop records.
(also yes, i was totally into 70s george when wilderness initially came out.)
