TS: "Loose Rap" vs. "Let's Take A Ride"

Aaliyah and Justin Timberlake, respectively. They sound almost the same but the former is a challenge, a lightly scatted dozens, battle r&b, a bid for the crown. The latter is new age carnival cruise fare. Which creates more cognitave dissonance with the beat, and is it better or worse for either to do so?

Yeah, same. "Loose Rap" is pretty great. And without Timba or the 'tunes. I hear it more as smooth then dissonant though.
