I have the Rune Grammofon "Elecric" reissue and a CD on Aurora of more orchestral works (with some electronics involved), both amazing, RIP. Love this bit from the obit :

So great was Nordheim’s stature in Norway that he had been granted the right to live in the state’s honorary residence called Grotten, on the grounds of the Royal Palace in Oslo. He had lived there since 1982.

Trying to imagine this happening with an experimental composer in the UK, and failing.

As his wife is still alive, it will not happen yet, but as soon as she is gone, there will probably be a huge cultural debate in the media here about who deserves to be the next one to live in that honorary residence.
